First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads Review

First Aid Beauty has been making waves in the beauty community lately. It seemed that every YouTuber in the US was raving about their products a year or so ago (PR stunt, possibly?) but, twelve months on, the products are still incredibly hyped in the community, leading me to try a few bits 'n' pieces for myself. I picked up their Facial Radiance Pads about six months ago on a whim and now I'm onto my third tub! They've become a staple part of my morning and evening skincare routines and I've finally decided it's about time I tell you why!

The First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads are thin facial pads containing a combination of lactic and glycolic acids, both of which are excellent AHA exfoliants. The amount of each contained is small enough to be safe for everyday use. The pads also contain Indian Gooseberry to tone the skin, lemon peel and licorice root to brighten the skin and the First Aid Beauty Antioxidant Booster to combat free radicals. Sounds like a pretty good combination, don't you think?

As I said, I have been using the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads since about February, stopping occasionally to try other things, and I am really impressed with them. The texture of my skin is so much nicer and I honestly think they're doing great things for the pores and blackheads around my nose. They're gentle enough to be used everyday (and I use them morning and evening) and they don't dry out or sting my sensitive skin. So many products irritate and react with my skin, so I can't necessarily say whether the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads prevent breakouts for me, but I do think it reduces the intensity and assists in healing and the fading of left over pigmentation!

These pads are big, being 5.7cm in size, so I have found that half a pad is still more than enough to cover my whole face as they're very well soaked in product. Given that I use them morning and evening, I find it a lot more economical to cut them so every couple of weeks I'll just cut a handful in half! The packaging of the product has changed recently, as you can see from the photo above, but the packaging on the left is how they look currently.

If you're after a gentle and effective daily chemical exfoliant, I would highly recommend these! There are a few different places that we can pick up First Aid Beauty products from but I generally stock up from Adore Beauty.  A tub of 60 pads can be bought from them for $31.95 and, best of all, they offer free shipping for all Australian orders!

Have you tried the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads? Do you love them as much as I do?

  2. I absolutely love this product, I used up a jar of them and then moved on to try FAB's Blemish Control pads, and I pretty much regretted my decision straight away ha. The Radiance pads are just so much for effective for me. Great idea with cutting them in half, why didn't I think of that! :)

    1. Yes! I totally agree, Angie. I have the blemish control pads also and I'm just not impressed by them. I might need to start using them just once a day to try and finish them. Cutting them half is just as effective and, essentially, makes the product half the price! X

  3. Great review! I recently finished up my first tub of these, I cut them in half too! It's so much more economical, one pad has way too much product on it! Definitely agree though, they've helped out with my skin texture and skintone!

    1. Thanks so much, Tasha! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who cuts them in half, even if it does mean I'm not the genius I thought it was. ;) Like you, I've noticed a difference in my skin and I'm so impressed! X
