Christmas Look #1, 2012 - Red, White and Green

As I said in my Christmas Giveaway, I LOVE Christmas. It's just a fun time of year. With that in mind, I thought it might be cool to create a couple of Christmas inspired looks.

I created this look using traditional Christmas colours; red, white and green. Keep reading to see how I created this look!

FACE
Make Up For Ever's Mat Velvet Foundation | MAC Select Cover Up Concealer | MAC Studio Fix Powder | Essence Fit and Matte! under the eyes | MAC's Pro Sculpting Cream in Coffee Walnut | NARS Laguna Bronzer | MAC Well Dressed Powder Blush

EYES
Primer: Urban Decay Primer Potion | Base: MAC Bare Study Paint Pot | Lid Colour: Essence Colours Arts Pigments in #09 My Brightsmaid and #10 Fairy Dust | Contour: MAC Wedge | Liner: Spectrum Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow Chemical X (with Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to make a liner) | Inner corner & brow bone highlight: Spectrum Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow in City Lights | Top Lash Mascara: Almay Get Up & Grow | Bottom Lash Mascara: Clinique Bottom Lash

LIPS
Maybelline Baby Lips in Anti Oxidant Berry | Entourage Lipstick in Attention

As you can see, I decided to use Spectrum Cosmetics' Mineral Eyeshadow in Chemical X (a teal green with shimmer) to create a winged liner look, using my Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to create the liner as I don't have a sealer. I'm definitely no pro at winged liner but I think it turned out okay. I tried to keep the rest of this look quite fresh and light, keeping in mind that Australian Christmas falls in Summer so it needs to be season appropriate.

All in all, I really like this look! It's not necessarily something I'd wear on an everyday basis but I think pressing the green shadow into the lash line would make it a little less dramatic. What do you think?

Also, what do you think of this look? Do you even wear make up Christmas Day? How are you getting into the Christmas spirit? Would you like to see any other Christmas looks? Let me know below!
Always look your best,
Sophie
